Target Information
NALP proteins are cytoplasmic members of the CATERPILLER family, playing crucial roles in cell proliferation and reproduction.
NALP10 contains a C-terminal leucine-rich repeat (LRR) region, an N-terminal Pyrin domain (PYD), a NACHT domain, and a NACHT-associated domain.
Initially identified as PYNOD, NALP10 binds to ASC, caspase-1, and IL-1β, inhibiting caspase-1 autoprocessing and ASC aggregation.
It acts as a potent regulator of apoptosis and inflammation.
