Target Information
NALP 단백질은 apoptosis 조절 인자인 APAF1(apoptotic protease activating factor 1)과 NOD-LRR 단백질을 포함하며, 염증 및 생식 과정에 관여하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
NALP5는 MATER로도 알려져 있으며, 생쥐의 초기 배아 발달에 필수적인 모계 유전자입니다.
NALP5 발현 증가는 신경 손상 모델에서 관찰되었으며, 뉴런에서 NALP5의 일시적 발현은 caspase-3 활성화와 세포자멸사를 유도합니다.
이는 NALP5가 손상된 뉴런에서 caspase 활성화 및 세포자멸사에 관여할 수 있으며, 신경퇴행성 질환의 치료 표적으로서 잠재적 역할을 가질 수 있음을 시사합니다.
