Product Specific Information

The monoclonal antibody ALY7 recognizes mouse LYVE-1, a transmembrane glycoprotein similar to CD44. Its extracellular domain includes a conserved hyaluronan-binding domain. LYVE-1 is expressed on lymphatic and liver endothelial cells and some macrophage populations. It plays a role in immune surveillance by facilitating protein and cell transport through the lymphatic system.

Applications Reported: Suitable for flow cytometry and immunohistology staining of frozen tissue sections.
Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometric analysis of LYVE-1/GFP co-transfected cells; recommended ≤0.125 µg/test.
A test is defined as the amount of antibody staining a cell sample in 100 µL. Cell count range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.
Optimize concentration empirically for best performance.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

LYVE1 is a major receptor for hyaluronan (HA) on lymph vessel walls. It is a 322-residue type I integral membrane glycoprotein, sharing 41% similarity with CD44. LYVE1 binds both soluble and immobilized HA, localized on lymphatic vessel luminal surfaces, absent from blood vessels. It serves as a specific marker for lymphatic endothelial cells and is involved in leukocyte and tumor cell trafficking to lymph nodes.
Associated molecules include LYVE1, PALE, VEGFR3, and podoplanin.
Dysfunction of LYVE1 is linked to Complete Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome.
