Product Specific Information

This antibody reacts specifically with Histone H3 acetylated at Lysine 79 (K79ac) and shows no cross-reactivity with other acetylated lysines in Histone H3.

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems clone specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits, followed by screening to select optimal clones for production.

Target Information

Histone H3 is one of the core DNA-binding proteins found in chromatin of eukaryotic cells. It forms nucleosomes with other histones to help organize DNA. Histones are central to transcription regulation, DNA repair, replication, and chromosomal stability. The N-terminal tail of histone H3 can undergo multiple post-translational modifications—such as methylation, acetylation, and phosphorylation—that influence chromatin structure and gene expression.
