This antibody reacts specifically with Histone H3 acetylated at Lysine 79 (K79ac) and shows no cross-reactivity with other acetylated lysines in Histone H3.

Target Information
Histone H3 is one of the core DNA-binding proteins found in chromatin of eukaryotic cells. It forms nucleosomes with other histones to help organize DNA. The N-terminal tail of histone H3 can undergo multiple post-translational modifications—such as methylation, acetylation, and phosphorylation—that influence chromatin structure and gene expression.
