This antibody reacts specifically to Histone H3.3, independent of post-translational modifications.
No cross-reactivity with Histone H3.1 or other histone proteins.

Target Information
Histones are basic nuclear proteins responsible for nucleosome structure in eukaryotic chromosomal fibers.
Nucleosomes consist of approximately 146 bp of DNA wrapped around a histone octamer composed of pairs of the four core histones (H2A, H2B, H3, and H4).
Chromatin fiber is compacted through interaction of linker histone H1 with DNA between nucleosomes, forming higher-order chromatin structures.
The Histone H3.3 gene is intronless and encodes a member of the histone H3 family. Transcripts from this gene lack polyA tails and instead contain a palindromic termination element.
This gene is located separately from other H3 genes within the histone gene cluster on chromosome 6p22–p21.3.
