Product Specific Information

This antibody reacts specifically with Histone H3 acetylated at Lysine 27 (H3K27ac) and shows no cross-reactivity with other acetylated lysines in histone H3.

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems developed by cloning the specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates for production.

Target Information

Histone H3 is a DNA-binding protein found in the chromatin of all eukaryotic cells. Together with four core histone proteins, it forms the nucleosome structure that organizes DNA. Histones are key regulators of transcription, DNA repair, replication, and chromosomal stability.

The N-terminal tail of histone H3 can undergo multiple post-translational modifications, including methylation, acetylation, and phosphorylation, which influence chromatin structure and gene expression.
