Description:
The 205yekta antibody reacts with mouse CD205 (DEC-205), a 205 kDa integral membrane glycoprotein involved in antigen uptake, trafficking, and presentation, enhancing antigen-specific T cell immunity. CD205 is highly expressed on CD8+ dendritic cells and variably on bone marrow Gr1+ cells, Langerhans cells, bone marrow-derived dendritic cells (BMDCs), and thymic epithelial cells.

CD205 can bind PE-Cy5.5 antibody and streptavidin conjugates; therefore, this format should not be used on CD205+ dendritic cells.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested on mouse bone marrow cells at ≤0.03 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Optimize titration for best performance.

Fluorochrome Information:
PerCP-eFluor® 710 can replace PE-Cy5, PE-Cy5.5, or PerCP-Cy5.5.

• Emission: 710 nm
• Recommended filters: 685 LP dichroic mirror and 710/40 band pass filter (695/40 acceptable)

PerCP-eFluor® 710 conjugates are stable after staining when samples are fixed with freshly prepared 2% formaldehyde overnight at 4°C.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

CD205 (LY75, Lymphocyte Antigen 75):
Integral membrane glycoprotein involved in antigen uptake, trafficking, and presentation that enhances antigen-specific T cell immunity. Highly expressed by CD8+ dendritic cells and variably by bone marrow Gr1+ cells, Langerhans cells, BMDCs, and thymic epithelial cells. Acts as an endocytic receptor directing captured antigens for processing and presentation, and may reduce B lymphocyte proliferation.

Associated Diseases: Pneumonic plague, lipid pneumonia.
