Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
Arginase catalyzes the hydrolysis of arginine to ornithine and urea. Two isoforms of mammalian arginase (types I and II) differ in tissue distribution, subcellular localization, immunologic crossreactivity, and physiologic function.
The type II isoform is mitochondrial and expressed in extra-hepatic tissues, especially kidney. It may play roles in nitric oxide and polyamine metabolism. Transcript variants of the type II gene from alternative polyadenylation sites have been described.
