Target Information
The SWI-SNF complex activates transcription by remodeling nucleosome structure in an ATP-dependent manner.
Brm (SNF2α) and Brg-1 (SNF2β) are ATPase subunits of the mammalian SWI-SNF complex.
Core components include Brm, Brg-1, Ini1 (SNF5), BAF155 (SRG3), and BAF170, which enhance remodeling activity.
Other subunits play regulatory roles.
hSNF2L and hSNF2H are homologs of Drosophila ISWI, present in chromatin remodeling complexes such as NURF.
