Product Specific Information
In direct ELISAs, approximately 40% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse CPA1 is observed and less than 10% cross-reactivity with recombinant human CPB1 is observed.

Target Information
Carboxypeptidase A1 (CPA1), also known as CPA, is a 419 amino acid secreted monomeric protein highly expressed in pancreatic tissue. It functions as a pancreatic exopeptidase using zinc as a cofactor to catalyze the release of C-terminal amino acids from proteins, playing a key role in protein digestion and degradation. CPA1 may also participate in zymogen inhibition, regulating enzyme activation pathways. Abnormal CPA1 levels are associated with pancreatic cancer, suggesting potential involvement in tumor progression or suppression.
