In Western blot applications, this antibody detects a band at approximately 60 kDa.
A suggested positive control is Raji cell lysate.
PA5-19983 can be used with blocking peptide PEP-0107.
Target Information
The IL21R protein is a cytokine receptor for interleukin 21 (IL21). It belongs to the type I cytokine receptor family and forms a heterodimeric receptor complex with the common gamma-chain, shared by receptors for IL2 and IL5.
This receptor transduces IL21 growth-promoting signals and plays a key role in T cell, B cell, and NK cell proliferation and differentiation.
Ligand binding activates downstream signaling molecules including JAK1, JAK3, STAT1, and STAT3.
Mouse knockout studies suggest a role in immunoglobulin regulation.
Three alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been described.
