Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
The CREM gene encodes a bZIP transcription factor that binds to the cAMP responsive element found in many viral and cellular promoters. It plays an important role in cAMP-mediated signal transduction during the spermatogenetic cycle and other complex biological processes. Alternative promoter and translation initiation site usage allow spatial and temporal specificity to cAMP responsiveness. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encode several isoforms, functioning as either activators or repressors of transcription.
