Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
Replication Protein A (RPA), also known as human single-stranded DNA binding protein (HSSB), plays a key role in DNA replication, repair, and recombination.
RPA is a stable heterotrimer composed of subunits of 70 kDa (RPA70), 32–34 kDa (RPA32), and 11–14 kDa (RPA14).
It is required for SV40 large tumor antigen-catalyzed unwinding of SV40 DNA and stimulates DNA polymerase α and δ.
RPA34 is phosphorylated at the G1/S boundary of the cell cycle or upon exposure to DNA damage-inducing agents such as ionizing and UV radiation.
