Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is greater than 95% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Target Information
The COPE gene encodes the epsilon subunit of the coatomer protein complex. Coatomer is a cytosolic complex that binds to dilysine motifs and associates reversibly with Golgi non-clathrin-coated vesicles. It is required for budding from Golgi membranes and is essential for retrograde Golgi-to-ER transport of dilysine-tagged proteins. The coatomer complex consists of at least the alpha, beta, beta’, gamma, delta, epsilon, and zeta subunits. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
