Target Information
DEAD box 단백질은 Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp(DEAD) 모티프를 가지며, RNA 헬리케이스로 작용합니다. 이들은 RNA 2차 구조 변형과 관련된 다양한 세포 과정(번역 개시, 핵 및 미토콘드리아 스플라이싱, 리보솜 및 스플라이소솜 조립 등)에 관여합니다.
일부 DEAD box 단백질은 발생, 정자 형성, 세포 성장 및 분열에 관여하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
DDX17 유전자는 다양한 RNA 종에 의해 활성화되는 ATPase를 암호화하며, DDX5와 구조적으로 밀접한 관련이 있습니다. 또한 대체 스플라이싱과 비전형적 번역 개시 코돈(CUG)의 사용으로 여러 아이소폼을 생성할 수 있습니다.
