CCL7/MCP3 is a secreted chemokine that attracts macrophages during inflammation and metastasis.
It belongs to the C-C subfamily of chemokines characterized by two adjacent cysteine residues.
The protein is an in vivo substrate of matrix metalloproteinase 2, which degrades components of the extracellular matrix.
