Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning the specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
The carboxyl terminus of hsc70-interacting protein (CHIP) interacts with both the constitutive form of hsc70 and the stress-inducible form hsp70. This 35 kDa cytoplasmic protein is highly expressed in striated muscle and across a wide range of cultured tissues. CHIP binds to the carboxyl terminus of hsc70 and hsp70, decreasing ATPase activity and reducing overall chaperone efficiency. It also functions in the ubiquitin-proteasome system as an E3 ubiquitin-ligase via its U-box domain, in conjunction with hsc70 and hsp90.
