Product Specific Information

This CD25-4E3 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD25, also known as the low-affinity interleukin (IL)-2 receptor alpha. CD25 is expressed on activated T cells (including regulatory T cells), B cells, and macrophages. It associates with CD122 (IL-2 receptor beta chain) and CD132 (common gamma chain) to form the high-affinity IL-2 receptor, which mediates IL-2 signaling linked to lymphocyte proliferation and survival.

CD25 serves as a marker for Hodgkin’s disease and has been associated with autoimmune diseases such as Type I diabetes.
This antibody is cross-reactive with rhesus monkey.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended use: 5 µL (0.25 µg) per test (in 100 µL final volume). Suitable for 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.

Target Information

CD25 (IL2 receptor alpha chain, IL2RA) is a cytokine receptor involved in T and B lymphocyte proliferation. It forms a high-affinity receptor complex with IL2RB and IL2RG. IL2RA expression is monoallelic in mature thymocytes and plays a crucial role in immune regulation. IL2 stimulates B cell proliferation, enhances NK cell activity, and inhibits granulocyte macrophage colony formation. Mutations in IL2RA are associated with interleukin 2 receptor alpha deficiency.
