Product Specific Information

The M1/69 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD24 (Heat Stable Antigen, HSA), a 35–50 kDa molecule anchored to the plasma membrane via phosphatidylinositol. CD24 is expressed by erythrocytes, thymocytes, peripheral lymphocytes, and myeloid lineage cells.
This glycosylated molecule shows variable molecular mass depending on cell lineage. CD24 expression is used to resolve stages of B lymphopoiesis in mouse bone marrow and has been reported to bind to P-selectin (CD62P).

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Verified in mouse splenocytes; optimal performance ≤ 0.25 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Cell number range 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test; titration recommended.

Fluorochrome Information:
eFluor® 450 is an alternative to Pacific Blue®, excited at 405 nm and emits at 445 nm (Violet laser). Ensure instrument compatibility.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

CD24 is a GPI-anchored glycoprotein expressed at multiple stages of B-cell development, from pro-B cells to mature B cells. Plasma cells show low or no expression. CD24 is also found in B-lineage acute lymphoblastic leukemias and B-cell lymphomas. It may regulate B-cell proliferation, maturation, and autoimmunity control.
