Antibody detects endogenous levels of CD66/CEACAM1 only when phosphorylated at Ser508.
Target Information
CEACAM1 is a member of the carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) gene family, belonging to the immunoglobulin superfamily. It is located within a 1.2 Mb cluster on chromosome 19 along with other CEA cell adhesion molecules and pregnancy-specific glycoproteins. CEACAM1 functions as a cell-cell adhesion molecule found on leukocytes, epithelia, and endothelia. It mediates homophilic and heterophilic interactions, contributing to tissue structure, angiogenesis, apoptosis, tumor suppression, metastasis, and immune response modulation. Multiple transcript variants exist, with two full-length forms identified.
