Product Specific Information

This antibody detects endogenous levels of DARPP-32 only when phosphorylated at Ser102, a site historically referenced as Ser97.

Target Information

DARPP-32 is a dopamine (DA) and AMP-regulated ~32 kDa phosphoprotein associated with dopaminoceptive neurons. When phosphorylated on Thr34, it inhibits Protein Phosphatase I; when phosphorylated on Thr75, it acts as a PKA inhibitor. Phosphorylation of DARPP-32 plays a critical role in dopaminergic neurotransmission and is implicated in the actions of alcohol, caffeine, and certain antidepressants.
