Product Specific Information
Specificity: Recognizes human Vascular Adhesion Protein-1 (VAP-1), a glycosylated homodimeric membrane protein consisting of two 90 kDa subunits connected by disulfide bonds. 2D10 is a conformation-specific antibody that binds an epitope present only in the dimeric form of VAP-1. Elevated soluble VAP-1 serum levels have been reported in various inflammatory diseases and colorectal cancer.
Target Information
Copper amine oxidases catalyze the oxidative conversion of amines to aldehydes in the presence of copper and a quinone cofactor. The product is a major protein on the adipocyte plasma membrane, exhibiting adhesive properties and monoamine oxidase activity. A pseudogene for this gene is located approximately 9 kb downstream.
