Product Specific Information

Description:
The SJ25C1 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD19, a 95 kDa transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on B cells throughout development except for plasma cells. CD19 forms a multimolecular complex with CD21, CD81, Leu13, and MHC class II, associating with the BCR to mediate signaling, proliferation, and calcium flux. The SJ25C1 and HIB19 clones recognize overlapping epitopes.

Applications Reported:
Reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Pre-titrated and tested for flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended use at 5 µL (0.125 µg) per test (100 µL final volume). Cell count can range from 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.

Light Sensitivity:
PE-Cyanine7 is sensitive to photo-induced oxidation. Protect vial and stained samples from light.

Fixation:
Samples can be stored in:

• 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333-54)
  for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal impact on brightness and compensation.

Target Information

CD19 is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily with two Ig-like domains. It is expressed on all peripheral B cells and some myeloid leukemia cells. CD19 acts as a coreceptor with the B cell receptor (BCR), lowering the activation threshold for antigen stimulation. It regulates B cell proliferation and differentiation, and its mutation can lead to hypogammaglobulinemia, while overexpression causes B cell hyperactivity.
