Product Specific Information

The 2H7 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD20, a 33–36 kDa transmembrane protein expressed on developing and mature B cells but not plasma cells. CD20 plays a role in B-cell activation.

• Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and validated for flow cytometry of normal human peripheral blood cells
• Recommended Usage: 5 µL (0.125 µg) per test (defined as staining in 100 µL final volume; 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test)

Light Sensitivity: PE-Cyanine7 tandem dye is photosensitive; protect from light.
Fixation: Samples can be stored up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark using IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333-54).
Excitation/Emission: 488–561 nm / 775 nm (Blue, Green, Yellow-Green lasers).
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

CD20 is a non-glycosylated surface phosphoprotein (33–37 kDa) expressed on mature and most malignant B cells, a subset of T lymphocytes, and follicular dendritic cells. It regulates transmembrane calcium conductance, cell cycle progression, and B-cell proliferation. CD20 remains at the cell surface after receptor ligation, making it a valuable target for antibody-mediated B-cell depletion.
Diseases associated with CD20 dysfunction include Ms4a1-related common variable immune deficiency.
