TSC2 (Tuberin, Tuberous sclerosis complex, TSC Complex Subunit 2)는 종양 억제 인자로 알려져 있으며, 소포 수송 및 세포 성장 억제, 스테로이드 수용체 매개 전사 조절에 관여합니다. TSC2는 hamartin과 결합하여 세포질 복합체를 형성하며, Ser939 및 Thr1462 위치의 인산화는 hamartin과의 상호작용을 조절합니다. 이 인산화는 PI3K/Akt 경로를 통해 다양한 성장 인자에 의해 자극받습니다. TSC2는 RAP1A 및 RAB5의 GTPase 활성을 자극하여 세포 성장 조절에 기여하며, TSC2 유전자 변이는 림프관평활근종증(lymphangioleiomyomatosis) 및 TSC2 angiomyolipoma와 같은 질환과 관련됩니다. 대체 스플라이싱으로 인해 세 가지 서로 다른 isoform이 존재합니다.
