Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
USP5 (ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal hydrolase 5) cleaves linear and branched multiubiquitin polymers, showing preference for branched forms. It participates in unanchored Lys-48-linked polyubiquitin disassembly and binds linear and Lys-63-linked polyubiquitin with lower affinity.
USP5 knockdown results in accumulation of p53/TP53 and increased transcriptional activity, as unanchored polyubiquitin competes with ubiquitinated p53/TP53 for proteasomal recognition.
