Target Information

C9orf41은 N-methyltransferase로서, carnosine으로부터 anserine(β-alanyl-N(Pi)-methyl-L-histidine)을 형성하는 반응을 매개합니다.
Anserine은 carnosine의 메틸화 유도체로 척추동물 골격근의 주요 성분입니다.
또한 Gly-Gly-His, Gly-His, homocarnosine(GABA-His) 등 L-histidine 함유 di- 및 tripeptide를 메틸화합니다.
