Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using carrier-free antibody, perform desalting using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The ganglioside GD3 synthase induces neurite sprouting and cell differentiation when transfected into mouse neuroblastoma Neuro2a cells. After differentiation, several genes are upregulated, including ganglioside-induced differentiation-associated protein 1 (Gdap1).
A similar gene in humans, GDAP1L1, is associated with Charcot-Marie-Tooth type 4A disease. The protein encoded by this gene shares sequence similarity with human GDAP1. Multiple transcript variants, including noncoding forms, have been identified.
