Product Specific Information
1 µg/mL of MA5-45387 was sufficient for detection of Cav1.2 in 10 µg of rat brain lysate by colorimetric immunoblot analysis using Goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.
Detects approximately 240 kDa (varies with cell background due to glycosylation).
Target Information
Gene: CACNA1C
CACNA1C encodes an alpha-1 subunit of a voltage-dependent calcium channel. These channels mediate calcium ion influx upon membrane depolarization. The alpha-1 subunit forms the ion-conducting pore and complexes with alpha-2/delta, beta, and gamma subunits in a 1:1:1:1 ratio. Multiple isoforms exist due to alternative splicing. The protein is inhibited by dihydropyridine.
