Target Information
NR1H3 (LXR-alpha, oxysterols receptor) is a nuclear receptor involved in ligand-dependent transcriptional activation. It interacts with RXR to mediate retinoid responses through LXREs (DR4-type response elements). NR1H3 regulates cholesterol homeostasis by controlling cholesterol uptake via MYLIP-dependent ubiquitination of LDLR, VLDLR, and LRP8, and cooperates with RORA in liver metabolism gene regulation.
