This antibody detects endogenous levels of WEE1 only when phosphorylated at Ser139.
Target Information
WEE1 is a Ser/Thr kinase that inactivates multiple CDKs by tyrosine phosphorylation. It catalyzes the inhibitory phosphorylation of CDC2/cyclin B kinase and coordinates the transition between DNA replication and mitosis by protecting the nucleus from cytoplasmic CDC2 kinase activation.
