This antibody detects endogenous levels of Chk1 only when phosphorylated at Serine 301.
Target Information
CHEK1 (CHK1) is a serine/threonine protein kinase involved in preventing replication when DNA integrity is compromised. CHK1 is a key mediator in the DNA damage-induced checkpoint network and functions to ensure genomic integrity upon genotoxic stress. Inhibition of CHK1 can lead to mitotic catastrophe in p53-deficient cancer cells, making Chk1 an attractive therapeutic target for cancer treatment.
