Product Specific Information
A 1:500 dilution of MA5-45922 was sufficient for detection of Pan-Thyroid hormone receptor in 10 µg of Hep G2 Human Hepatoblastoma Cell lysate by ECL immunoblot analysis using goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.
Detects a 70 kDa protein.
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is a nuclear hormone receptor for triiodothyronine (T3). It mediates the biological activities of thyroid hormone and participates in transcriptional regulation. Knockout studies in mice indicate that different receptors may have overlapping but distinct functions.
Mutations in this gene are associated with generalized thyroid hormone resistance (GTHR), characterized by goiter and elevated circulating thyroid hormone (T3, T4) with normal or slightly elevated TSH.
Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been reported.
