A 1:500 dilution of MA5-45923 was sufficient for detection of Pan-Thyroid hormone receptor in 10 µg of Hep G2 Human Hepatoblastoma Cell lysate by ECL immunoblot analysis using goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.
Detects 70 kDa.
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is a nuclear hormone receptor for triiodothyronine. It is one of several receptors for thyroid hormone and mediates the biological activities of thyroid hormone. Knockout studies in mice suggest that different receptors, while somewhat redundant, may mediate distinct functions. Mutations in this gene cause generalized thyroid hormone resistance (GTHR), characterized by goiter and elevated T3/T4 levels with normal or slightly increased TSH. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been observed.
