Product Specific Information
Human CD52 antigen, also known as CAMPATH-1, is expressed at high density by lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils, thymocytes, and macrophages. It is also expressed by most lymphoid-derived malignancies, although expression on myeloma cells is variable.
Target Information
CD52 (CAMPATH-1 antigen) is a glycoprotein expressed on the surface of various immune cells, including T and B lymphocytes, natural killer cells, and monocytes. It plays a role in immune response regulation and is studied as a therapeutic target in diseases such as multiple sclerosis, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, and autoimmune disorders. CD52 is the target of alemtuzumab, a monoclonal antibody used to treat these conditions by depleting CD52-expressing immune cells.
