Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences are cloned from immunoreactive rabbits, and individual clones are screened to select optimal candidates for production.

Target Information

The APAF1 gene encodes a cytoplasmic protein that initiates apoptosis. It contains multiple WD-40 domains, a caspase recruitment domain (CARD), and an ATPase domain (NB-ARC).
Upon binding cytochrome c and dATP, APAF1 forms an oligomeric apoptosome that activates caspase 9, leading to the caspase cascade responsible for apoptosis.
Alternative splicing results in several transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
