Product Specific Information
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned, and individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
Caveolae are specialized plasma membrane domains involved in lipid and protein molecule sequestration. They play roles in lipid metabolism, growth regulation, signal transduction, and apoptosis.
Caveolin interacts with and regulates heterotrimeric G-proteins. The caveolin gene family encodes 21–24 kDa integral membrane proteins forming the major structural components of caveolar membranes.
Caveolin-2 is abundantly expressed in fibroblasts, adipocytes, smooth and skeletal muscle, and endothelial cells. Caveolin-1 expression is similar, while caveolin-3 is limited to muscle tissue.
