Product Specific Information

The monoclonal antibody M1-14D12 recognizes mouse IgG1 antibodies and is suitable as a secondary reagent in flow cytometry and microscopy. It does not recognize other mouse isotypes and shows no cross-reactivity with rat IgG1 or other rat isotypes.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested: Tested by flow cytometry of cells stained with a mouse IgG1 primary antibody. Recommended ≤0.5 µg/test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test). Optimize titration for best results.

Light Sensitivity: The tandem dye is sensitive to photo-induced oxidation. Protect vial and stained samples from light.

Fixation: Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-8222-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark with minimal impact on brightness and FRET efficiency. Clone-specific performance should be verified empirically.

Target Information

Anti-Mouse secondary antibodies are affinity-purified with well-characterized specificity for mouse immunoglobulins. They are useful for detection, sorting, or purification of target antibodies. Secondary antibodies enhance versatility and sensitivity through signal amplification, as multiple secondary antibodies can bind to a single primary antibody. They are typically produced by immunizing the host with pooled immunoglobulins from the target species and further purified or modified (e.g., immunoaffinity chromatography, fragmentation, conjugation) for high specificity.
