• Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration.
• For extended storage, aliquot and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles.
• Centrifuge if not completely clear after standing at room temperature.
• Stable for several weeks at 4°C as undiluted liquid.
• Dilute only prior to immediate use.
• In ELISA and other immunoreactive assays, this antibody recognizes both native and recombinant mouse IL17-F in cell supernatants and certain body fluids.
• A control of similarly diluted normal rabbit IgG is recommended.

Target Information

IL-17F (Interleukin 17F, CTLA-8) is a cytokine belonging to the IL-17 family, produced by inflammatory cells such as activated T cells, mast cells, and basophils.
It is involved in allergic airway inflammation and induces cytokines, chemokines, and adhesion molecules in various cell types.
IL-17F may form homodimers or heterodimers with IL-17A, binding to the IL-17R receptor to recruit monocytes and neutrophils.
It stimulates pro-inflammatory cytokines (TNFα, IL-1β, IL-6, IL-8) and is implicated in chronic inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, and multiple sclerosis.
TGF-β and IL-23 are required for Th17 cell induction, which in turn promotes IL-17 production.
IL-17F inhibits angiogenesis and induces endothelial cells to produce IL-2, TGF-β, and MCP-1.
