Target Information
BRCA1 (breast and ovarian cancer susceptibility protein 1)은 핵 인산화 단백질로, 유전체 안정성 유지에 중요한 역할을 하며 종양 억제 단백질로 작용합니다.
BRCA1은 DNA 손상 감지 단백질 및 신호전달 인자들과 함께 BASC(BRCA1 associated genome surveillance complex)를 형성합니다.
이 단백질은 RNA polymerase II 및 histone deacetylase complex와 상호작용하여 전사 조절, 이중가닥 DNA 손상 복구, 재조합 과정에 관여합니다.
BRCA1 유전자의 돌연변이는 유전성 유방암의 약 40%, 유전성 유방암 및 난소암의 80% 이상과 관련이 있습니다.
대체 스플라이싱은 BRCA1의 세포 내 위치 및 생리적 기능 조절에 영향을 미치며, 일부 변이형은 질병과 관련이 있습니다.
