Product Specific Information

Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and expressed in these systems. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information

Histones are basic nuclear proteins responsible for the nucleosome structure of chromosomal fibers in eukaryotes. Two molecules each of H2A, H2B, H3, and H4 form an octamer, around which approximately 146 bp of DNA is wrapped to form nucleosomes.
The linker histone H1 interacts with linker DNA between nucleosomes and functions in chromatin compaction. The gene encoding this histone is intronless and lacks a polyA tail, instead containing a palindromic termination element. It is located in the large histone gene cluster on chromosome 6.
