Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems clone specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits, followed by screening to select optimal production candidates.

Target Information
CD34 is a highly glycosylated monomeric surface protein (111–115 kDa) expressed on various stem cell populations. It serves as a stem cell marker, though expression on human hematopoietic stem cells is reversible.
CD34 may function as:
- A receptor mediating endocytosis and regulating adhesion, differentiation, and proliferation
- An adhesion molecule aiding stem cell attachment to bone marrow extracellular matrix or stromal cells
- A scaffold for lineage-specific glycans binding to lectins of stromal or marrow components
CD34 is also implicated in presenting carbohydrate ligands to selectins and may participate in signal transduction via phosphorylation by activated protein kinase C.
Diseases associated with CD34 dysfunction include dermatofibrosarcoma and neurofibroma.
