Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The CDKN2A gene produces several transcript variants differing in their first exons. At least three alternatively spliced variants encode distinct proteins, two of which act as inhibitors of CDK4 kinase. Another variant encodes the ARF protein, which stabilizes tumor suppressor protein p53 by interacting with and sequestering MDM2.
Despite structural and functional differences, both CDK inhibitor isoforms and ARF product contribute to G1 cell cycle regulation.
This gene is frequently mutated or deleted in various tumors and serves as an important tumor suppressor.
