The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
TSPAN7 is a member of the transmembrane 4 superfamily (tetraspanin family). These cell-surface proteins contain four hydrophobic domains and mediate signal transduction events that regulate cell development, activation, growth, and motility.
This encoded protein is a cell surface glycoprotein that may play a role in neurite outgrowth control and is known to complex with integrins.
The TSPAN7 gene is associated with X-linked mental retardation and neuropsychiatric diseases such as Huntington’s chorea, fragile X syndrome, and myotonic dystrophy.
