Target Information
Laminins are a family of extracellular matrix glycoproteins and major non-collagenous constituents of basement membranes. They are involved in cell adhesion, differentiation, migration, signaling, neurite outgrowth, and metastasis.
Laminins consist of three non-identical chains (alpha, beta, gamma), forming a cruciform structure with three short arms and one long arm.
Defects in the LMNB1 gene can cause Leukodystrophy, demyelinating, autosomal dominant, adult-onset (ADLD).
