Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits are cloned and expressed to ensure high specificity and sensitivity.

Target Information

ATG14 (Autophagy related protein homolog 14) is encoded by the ATG14 gene on human chromosome 14. Also known as ATG14L or BARKOR (Beclin 1-associated autophagy-related key regulator), it plays a key role in autophagy, the cellular process for recycling misfolded proteins and degrading dysfunctional organelles.

Autophagy is induced under nutrient stress and involves formation of autophagosomes, which fuse with lysosomes to form autophagolysosomes.
The Class III PI3-Kinase Vps34 and Beclin 1 form a complex with ATG14 (type 1) or UVRAG (type 2). ATG14 directs the type 1 complex to the preautophagosomal structure (PAS), critical for autophagosome initiation.
