Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs and Western blots, less than 10% cross-reactivity with recombinant human (rh) CCL11/Eotaxin, recombinant mouse CCL7, and rhCCL21 is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.5 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
- Endotoxin level is <0.10 EU per 1 µg of the antibody by the LAL method.
Target Information
This gene belongs to the Cys-Cys (CC) cytokine family, located on the q-arm of chromosome 17.
CC cytokines are secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes, characterized by two adjacent cysteines.
The cytokine encoded by this gene exhibits chemotactic activity for eosinophils, but not for mononuclear cells or neutrophils.
Eotaxin is implicated in eosinophilic inflammatory diseases such as atopic dermatitis, allergic rhinitis, asthma, and parasitic infections.
