Amino Acid Sequence of Recombinant Protein:

Preparation:
Produced from sera of goats immunized with highly pure recombinant Murine SDF-1α (CXCL12). The anti-Murine SDF-1α (CXCL12)-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and subsequently biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Murine SDF-1α by sandwich ELISA (100 µL/well antibody solution), use 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody. In combination with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Murine SDF-1α (500-P164G) as a capture antibody, it detects at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of recombinant Murine SDF-1α.

Western Blot:
For detection of Murine SDF-1α by Western blot, use at 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. When used with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for recombinant Murine SDF-1α is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

CXCL12 is a stromal cell-derived alpha chemokine belonging to the intercrine family. Together with its receptor CXCR4, it can activate lymphocytes and is implicated in cancer metastasis (e.g., breast cancer). Mutations in CXCL12 are associated with resistance to HIV-1 infection. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
