Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, perform an additional desalting step (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
TYMP (Thymidine Phosphorylase, also known as PD-ECGF or gliostatin) is a platelet-derived endothelial growth factor.
In the presence of inorganic orthophosphate, it catalyzes the reversible phosphorolytic cleavage of thymidine and deoxyuridine to their corresponding bases and 2-deoxyribose-1-phosphate.
It is both chemotactic and mitogenic for endothelial cells and functions as a non-heparin-binding angiogenic factor present in platelets.
TYMP is also involved in the transformation of fluoropyrimidines, cytotoxic agents used in cancer therapy, into active cytotoxic metabolites.
