LYVE1은 림프관 벽에서 히알루로난(HA)의 주요 수용체로 확인되었습니다.
322개의 아미노산으로 구성된 type I integral membrane 단백질로, CD44 HA 수용체와 41%의 유사성을 보입니다.
LYVE1은 HA와 결합하며, CD44와 달리 림프관 내강면에서 HA와 공위치하며 혈관에서는 발견되지 않습니다.
따라서 LYVE1은 림프관 특이적 HA 수용체로, 림프관 마커로서 매우 유용합니다.
주로 림프관 내피세포에서 발현되며, 백혈구 및 종양세포의 림프절 이동 조절에 관여할 가능성이 있습니다.
LYVE1, PALE, VEGFR3, podoplanin 등이 림프관 내피세포의 대표적 마커로 알려져 있습니다.
LYVE1 기능 이상은 Complete Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome과 관련이 있습니다.
